The anti-corruption campaign launched by Gandhian Anna Hazare drew huge mass support. From 'aam aadmi' to Bollywood Celebs joining the protest, the 'Anna mania' shook the entire nation.
People are doing all they could against corruption and in support of anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare. Call it a mere publicity stunt or whatever, some ardent followers even stripped for him.
Goa-born, Mumbai-based DJ Jenny D, who recently created shock waves in the nation with her nude photograph with a tri-colour fabric wrapped around her in support of women's reservation, went topless again. But, this time it was against corruption and the casting couch in the film industry. Wearing a Gandhi topi and Me Anna Hazare written in a combination of Hindi and English on her back, she grabbed eye balls and created media frenzy.
On the other hand, Marathi actress Yoggitta Dandekar, who comes from a conservative Maharashtrian family, also did her bit by getting her body painted and posing nude for the camera. She also claims that she will run topless after the Jan Lokpal Bill is passed in the Parliament.
And wait, there's one more. Wanting to join the crusade is a model-turned-actor Yuvraaj Parashar, the lead actor in Dunno Y... Na Jaane Kyon, a film on homosexual relationships. "I will strip for Anna. He is like a God to me," a leading national daily quotes Yuvraaj as saying. He adds, "I am totally inspired by Anna Hazare. Woh humein batana chahte hain ki humein apne haq ke liye ladna chahiye. And this is why I am giving my support to his cause, totally."
With supporters keen to go naked, the Anna Movement had a lot of resemblance with the PETA campaign. But yes, there's no denying the fact that Anna Hazare is the man of the moment. Born on June 1938, he has the Moon and Sun debilitated in Navamsa, which indicates that he took birth in an ordinary family and his childhood is a rich source of thought for the System and the Rulers. Rahu and Ketu are debilitated in his chart, thus there is likelihood of either his going against the politicians and/or the politicians going against him or both the things happening simultaneously. The anti-corruption movement led by Anna may be able to make substantial impact and would see some positive steps in the future. From October 3, 2011 Anna may see some better things happening which would be for the country's benefit.
