Bhakoot Dosha is considered bad as it bring issues like major health problems (caused by Shadashtaka Bhakoot Dosha), financial problems (caused by Dwirdwadash Bhakoot Dosha), and even problems with pregnancies (caused by Nav Pancham Bhakoot Dosha) in the relationship. Career or financial troubles could force partners to live separately, which could in turn lead to separation or divorce.

However, Bhakoot Dosha is not considered or can be cancelled if- the Rashi lords of the signs of the partners to be married are the same or if the Rashi lords are mutual friends, or if the Navamsha of the partners is friendly.

A high Bhakoot Koota score indicates a good match which helps the couple avoid health, financial and conception related problems in their marriage, while a poor score could give root to these problems.
