Yash Raj Films’ Gunday, releases on 14th February, 2014. The movie stars Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor in the lead roles and actress Priyanka Chopra and Irrfan Khan in the supporting role. Even though it releases on Valentine’s Day, the movie focuses on the theme of friendship and celebrates this bond. The crime thriller is packed with action and is set in the Bengal of the 1970s. Based on the transition of refugees into bandits, the movie depicts the Kolkata of that time and how the coal mafia flourished, breaking the laws.
The movie also has Sushant Singh Rajput in a special appearance along with Priyanka Chopra who plays the role of a cabaret dancer. The strong narratorial voice of Irrfan Khan adds to the dark theme of the movie which boasts of some great performances by the young actors. Produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, this movie is loaded with action. The music by Sohail Sen is being appreciated by the listeners. Moreover, it is the first Indian film to receive the honour of having its trailer premiered at the Dubai International Film Festival.
