After giving super hits like Jab We Met(2007), Love Aaj Kal (2009)and Rockstar(2011), Imtiaz Ali is back with his unusual film making style with the upcoming movie Highway, releasing on 21st February 2014. This movie starring newbie Alia Bhatt and critically commended Randeep Hooda was shot in six different states of India including the director's favorite hot spots Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir. This romantic drama on the road trip showcases the bonding between a rustic kidnapper (played by Hooda) and an urban rich girl who is abducted before marriage (Alia). The extraordinary journey showcases the transformation that comes in the life of this girl who in the end wants this trip to be a never ending one.
This is Alia Bhatt's second movie post the super hit debut SOTY (Student of the Year) in 2013. The trailer which is already popular on YouTube and on television shows her to be this vivacious and bubbly girl in a de-glam avatar, resembling the Jab We Met of Kareena. Hopefully, Imtiaz succeeds in bringing her hidden talent and creativity just like Kareena's and gives wings to her career. Even Randeep's bucolic image is being appreciated everywhere.
