Thereafter, you can perform the Puja to appease the ancestors or 'Pitra,' offer oblation (Tarpans) to your forefathers. Performing 'Pitra Daan,' 'Pitra Tarpan,' and performing 'Shraddha Karma' are meant to give you good results. It is commonly believed that doing these can make your ancestors happy.
