ICC World Cup 2015’s 13th match is to be played between the top two teams of pool B – India and South Africa. After having a perfect start of their quest to retain World Cup title by beating arch rivals Pakistan, India will face one of the strong contenders for the title, South Africa, at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne on Sunday 22nd February. This high octane face-off between India and South Africa has happened in three earlier versions of ICC World Cup we've never won. It’s a significant fact that questions if Team India under the guidance of its most successful captain MS Dhoni will be able to break the jinx or South Africa will again win over India.
By analyzing the birth charts of captains of both the teams, let’s see which team will be favoured by the planets.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni, captain of Indian cricket team, was born on 7th July, 1981 in Ranchi, Jharkhand state of India. Accordingly, his Moon sign is Virgo and ruling planet is Mercury. If we look at the status of Moon on the day of the match, it is in the 8th house of Dhoni’s birth chart which indeed is a very favourable position. Due to the positive influence of Moon, Dhoni would be more focused and determined. With Venus favouring him too, he will be very confident about every decision he may take. Rahu is in such a position that brings good luck and success to the native when he/she is away from their birthplace. With the ruling planet Mercury present in Maitri position, Dhoni will be ready to put in valiant efforts for the victory. However, Ketu being with Moon will not let this match be a cake walk for Dhoni. He will have to make his team work hard and stay confident.
AB de Villiers, captain of South African cricket team, was born on 17th February, 1984 in Pretoria, one of the three capital cities of South Africa. His Moon sign is Leo and ruling planet is Sun. On 22nd February, as per de Villiers’ birth chart, Moon will be residing in the 8th house from his moon sign – which is Pisces. It doesn’t look like a good indication for de Villiers and his team. But with the favourable influence of his ruling planet – Sun, we can expect a decent performance from him.
We cannot ignore the potential that de Villiers and his team has and the fact that India has been defeated by South Africa in similar past setups. But, we have enough reasons to say that South Africa would be under enormous pressure bearing to the fact that they never won a world cup, which India has, twice and is the current title holder.
As per the birth chart analysis done by astroYogi astrologers for both the captains, planetary positions indicate better and strong chances of India taking the lead in this match.
