Andy Murray ended Britain's 77 year old wait when he lifted the Wimbledon's Men's singles trophy this year on July, 7, 2013. The world number 2 from Scotland stole top seed Novak Djokovic's thunder by defeating him 6-4, 7-5, 6-4 in the Grand slams final. Fred Perry, the last British player to achieve this feat did it in 1936 and now Murray has come as Britain's knight in shining armour. Kudos to him!
His win at the US open and Olympics last year had flagged off his upward climb in his career. Last year in September 2012, he became the first Brit to win a Grand Slam in the last 77 years when he won the US open, defeating Serbia's Novak Djokovic. At the Olympics he stunned everybody by winning the coveted Gold Medal by beating Roger Federer.
Since turning pro in 2005, life has been a joyride for the Scotland born Murray. His career is peppered with many ups and downs but he never allowed the downs to affect him and continued moving ahead. Born on 15 May 1987, Murray has his Sun in Taurus and his Moon in Sagittarius. Even though Taurus is an earth sign his chart is dominated by fire, which makes him a dedicated and enthusiastic person. Just like the bull that represents his sign, Taurus, he is stubborn and has great inner strength that helps him move past failures and achieve his goals. Last year too, he had come just inches away from winning the title but lost to Roger Federer in the finals. However, he didn't let it dampen his spirits and this year he proved that he is a force to be reckoned with.
According to Chinese astrology, Murray was born in the year of the Cat and the element Fire. People born under this sign do not get distracted by failures and will do whatever it takes to achieve their dreams. They prefer to live their life peacefully and avoid arguments and conflicts. The element Fire confers on Murray dynamism and enthusiasm.
His ruling number is 6 and the year 2013 also adds up to 6, which means that this year will certainly turn out to be extremely good for him. His recent win at the Wimbledon's holds testimony to it. Relationships with friends and family will be strengthened. His career graph will shoot up. He has now entered his 26th year which adds up to 8, a number highly compatible with 6. All in all, 2013 will remain a very special year for Murray.
