Manchester United V/s Bayern Munich

Manchester United are up against the German club Bayern Munich on March 30, 2010. Fc Bayern Munich have a tough draw and will really have to come up with some new tricks up their sleeves to overcome the Red Devils. They have to defend well and find a way of stopping Wayne Rooney from inflicting damage. Bayern’s recent form and injury problems make it all the more intimidating. The key player that fans will expect to perform a miracle will be Arjen Robben. It’s hard to think of a Bayern win where Robben didn’t play a key role. All eyes will be on him today! Their track record of disappointing home losses both this season and in previous seasons of the Champions League does not give much hope to Bayern fans. Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United on the other hand, has had some fabulous wins this season and is currently on top of the English Premier League standings. Wayne Rooney, the Manchester United striker is once again expected to lead his team to glory today. He suffered some minor injuries recently but he is said to have recovered. He will be in the lineup for the Red Devils against Bayern Munich. Players who are expected to play well today are Robben, Rooney, Nani, Olic, Evra and Carrick.

Today’s Champions League clash between Man U and FC Bayern Munich will be the first leg of their quarter final draw. All hopes of a Bayern win will be dashed if it fails to score a goal in the first half. Man U has a chance to show once again why they are one of the best football clubs in the world.

Match Prediction: Manchester United’s attacking game today will help them win the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinal.
