Vidya Balan is all set to spell her charm again in her next film Kahaani, which is releasing on March 9. With a fake baby bump, Vidya is putting all efforts to promote this film.
A seven-month pregnant Vidya Bagchi (Vidya Balan) comes all the way from London to Kolkata, a city engulfed in the festive spirit of Durga Puja. Why did she take the trouble to come down to this noisy and crowded city? Vidya is in quest of her husband Arnab Bagchi, who's gone missing. A difficult task! Isn't it? Does Vidya succeed in finding her husband? How much pain and difficulties does she have to go through? Well, that's what the 'kahaani' of the film is about.
Her earlier film The Dirty Picture was a huge success. The film collected a total of Rs 50 crores by the end of the first week and thus created history in Indian cinema by becoming the biggest opening ever for a women-oriented film. Will Kahaani break this record? Will the presence of Vidya change the fortune of director Sujoy Ghosh, whose earlier films Aladdin and Home Delivery: Aapko... Ghar Tak were box office failures.
