Rani Mukerji, one of the most versatile and accomplished actresses of contemporary Hindi cinema, is lovingly called “Khandala Girl’ ,after her super-hit song, ‘Aati kya Khandala’ from her first commercially successful movie, Ghulam.
Rani has a “filmy” background family as her father was the noted film maker, Ram Mukherjee and mother was a playback singer, Krishna Mukherjee. Her brother, Raja Mukherjee, is a producer and the well-known actress, Kajol Devgn is her cousin sister. Rani is married to director and producer, Aditya Chopra, son of the famed Yash Chopra, who was one of the leading filmmakers in the history of Hindi cinema.
Considering the fact that Rani never wanted to be an actress and instead wanted to pursue fashion designing, the ‘Khandala Girl’ seems to have taken to this profession like a fish to water. She seems to be naturally gifted with an acting prowess, as it didn’t take her much time to perfect the art of acting through her eyes, without using dialogues This speaks volumes about any professional actress. She mastered the ability of diving under the skin of her character, pretty early in her career.
Rani is an Aries, born on 21 March. The Ram is typically confident, fiery, bold and independent. It is easy to see these qualities in Rani. She stresses on the fact that she enjoys people who are ‘upfront’ and that was the reason she fell in love with a much married Aditya. When Rani met the soft-spoken Aditya, she had a number of flops on her shoulder and her luck was running out at the box office. But Aditya believed in her and gave her a break in his movie, after which Rani’s luck changed for the better again.

Rani took a break from acting after her daughter was born in 2015. After a hiatus of four years, Rani will be seen again in a drama based film, Hichki, produced by her husband, Aditya Chopra. It will be released on 23 March, 2018.
The career for Aries in 2018 in the first quarter looks promising and so we expect Hichki to do well at the box office. In the second quarter, Saturn will retrograde in Sagittarius and may impact her luck. But for the Aries that boasts of a ‘Never give up’ attitude, success will not be far for them as the year draws to a close.
