One of the most awaited films of the year, Sanju, based on the enticing and captivating life of ‘the original Bad Boy of Bollywood’; Sanjay Dutt; can be summed up in just one line-‘One man..Many lives’
Being in the news ever since its announcement, the film has the ‘Rockstar’, Ranbir Kapoor, enacting the part of Sanjay Dutt to perfection. Sonam Kapoor plays ‘Sanju’s’ love interest of his younger days, while Dia Mirza plays the role of Sanjay’s current wife, Manyata. Manisha Koirala plays the role of Sanjay’s mother, the yesteryear late actress, the legendary Nargis Dutt. Paresh Rawal plays the part of late actor, Sunil Dutt.
Set to release on 29 June 2018, the trailers of the film have already generated enough interest in the movie-goers. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, with music by none other than A. R. Rahman, this biopic has many highlights. Other than getting to know more about the tumultuous life of Sanjay Dutt and maybe the reason behind many of his anti-social behaviour; it also brings together the winsome couple; Ranbir and Sonam; after their Saawariya debut. The film is to have the biggest premiere ever and even has the entire film industry anticipating the biopic.
Anushka will be appearing in a cameo role of a biographer from London.
Hirani has very smartly, kept the fans interested in the film by releasing Ranbir’s different looks of Sanjay based on the different phases of his life, one at a time.

Being intense, passionate and strong-willed about his work, Hirani is known for his detailing, leaving no stone unturned to perfect everything about the film. 2018 is marked to witness events that would lead for their professional elevation and for Hirani, Sanju seems to be slated to be one of the events. Born on 28 September, Ranbir is Libra. Although dedicated workers, they are sensitive to the environment they work in. Manisha Koirala, the versatile actress, will be making a comeback, after battling cancer for 5 years. This is her second film after she took a sabbatical in 2012. Born on 16 August, Manisha is a Leo and a ‘lion’ always makes his/her powerful presence felt. Movie-goers are sure to see some unforgettable performance from Manisha in Sanju.
