  • Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha- 22nd January 2024

  • On 22nd January 2024, the Abhijit Muhurat will start at 12:16 PM and end at 12:59 PM (IST). This will provide a propitious window for the consecration ceremony. The timing for the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya will be consecrated at 12:20 PM (IST) on the aforementioned date. 

  • Once the consecration is done and the idol of the divine Lord Rama is installed, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform the first Aarti of Lord Ram.

During the Abhijit Muhurat, it is believed that Lord Shiva killed the demon Tripurasur; therefore, it is considered an auspicious time for Hindus.   • Fact 1- For the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra announced a seven-day consecration ceremony starting on 16th January 2024.

  • Fact 2- The seven-day consecration ceremony will include pious activities, such as touching the Saryu river embankment, Gau Daan, and Lord Vishnu’s Puja. Other rituals like a 'Shobha Yatra' for the selected idol of Ram Lalla and various other Pujas, religious activities, and a Hawan will be done on the subsequent days.

  • Fact 3- Pran Pratishtha' of an idol of a God is a grant ritual, and certain specific rules are followed before this ceremony. This is why Mr. Narendra Modi has decided to follow all the customs despite his busy schedule and responsibilities. Prime Minister Modi has started an 11-day fast to prepare himself for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ (consecration ceremony). He is doing so to awaken divine consciousness within himself for the worship and Yagya of God. There are instructions for fasting and strict rules given in Hindu scriptures before consecration, to which he is adhering. 

  • Fact 4- A priest from Varanasi called Lakshmi Kant Dixit will perform the main 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony and the main rituals of the ceremony of Ram Lalla on 22nd January 2024.

  • Fact 5- Prime Minister Modi will do the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony under the guidance of Pandit Lakshmi Kant Dixit, and 121 learned Vedic Brahmins from across the country.

  • Fact 7- According to the Udupi seer Vishwaprasanna Tirtha Swami, an important member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, well-known and reputable sculptor Arun Yogiraj from Mysore will use Krishna Shila or black stones from Karnataka, and has the historic task of carving out the standing idol of Lord Rama in the form of an archer. 

  • Fact 8- The new idol of Lord Rama to be placed in the original sanctum sanctorum of Sri Ram Mandir is in the form of a five-year-old child (Ram Lalla). Ram Lalla will be armed with a bow and arrow, and he will be in a standing posture. It is also being said that water and milk will not have any adverse effect on the stone. 

  • Fact 9- The entire glorious Ram Mandir is made of stone, without the usage of any iron or steel in the construction. 

  • Fact 10- The Ram Rasoi is preparing to offer free food to all the devotees on the day of the inauguration.
