Total Solar Eclipse on 14th December 2020

The last solar eclipse of 2020 would take place on 14 December. It’ll be a total solar eclipse, and it’ll not be visible in India as it will not take place during the day time. It would begin at 7:03 PM and end at 00:23 AM.

Theoretically, a solar eclipse takes place when the Moon passes between the orbit of Earth and the Sun and thereby obstructing the image of the Sun for a viewer on Earth.

Keep your family safe during the 14 December 2020 solar eclipse. Consult Aacharya Aaditya now!

As this solar eclipse is not visible in India, so the do’s and don’ts’ of the eclipse will not be applicable here. For places like Chile, Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Uruguay, eclipse rules would be applicable.

There would be a unique planetary combination on this day, along with the conjunction of five planets in the Scorpio sign. Namely, Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Ketu would be present together, and Saturn & Mars would be aspecting Libra together, thereby creating a fiery situation.

The conjunction of too many planets in a sign is never good, so barring eclipse formation, this planter combination itself is not good. Natives born under Moon sign like Scorpio, Taurus sign, Libra, Aries, and Pisces should stay alert and perform worship/remedies.

The following activities should be performed during the eclipse.

  1. Pregnant women should stay at home and chant “Gopal Santan Mantra,” while all others should chant the mantra of the deities of their choice. Chanting the Shri Maha Mrityunjaya mantra yields sound mental and physical health and relieves ongoing medical conditions.

  2. Pluck some Tulsi leaves before the eclipse time and use it in food items. This is known to sanctify and purify the food.

  3. Take a bath before and after the eclipse.

  4. Eclipse time is very favorable for mantra siddhi and yantra siddhi. Chanting Stotra/path/Chalisa is very favorable.

  5. After the eclipse, it is wise to dip in holy rivers and donate rice, sugar, salt, ghee, curd, etc.

  6. It is also wise to donate some food items in the names of your Forefathers.

The following activities should not be performed during the eclipse.

  1. Avoid sleeping during eclipse time. This rule does not apply to children, pregnant women, old age people, and people under medication.

  2. Avoid having food during eclipse time.

  3. Avoid moving out/traveling during the time of the eclipse.

  4. Cutting, sewing, weaving work, and use of knives and scissors should be avoided.

  5. Avoid worship/lighting Deepak, lighting incense.

  6. Avoid any argument/heated exchange of words with anyone and instead, try to spend the time in isolation.

Best of Luck
