Salman Khan is the talk of the town once again and this time around, it is for what he does best i.e. ‘entertain’. After being in the news for all the wrong reasons, the ultimate entertainer and crowd puller is back with a bang with Bajrangi Bhaijaan which is releasing on July 17 on the occasion of Eid.
The film, starring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead roles has already created a lot of hype due to the promotions, and the songs that have been released are also doing very well. The movie tells the story of a little Pakistani mute girl (played by Harshali Malhotra), who gets lost at the Indo-Pak border. She later finds herself in India. Salman is seen as the messiah of this girl who decides to take the girl back to Pakistan in order to re-unite her with her family. Directed by Kabir Khan, the film also stars the very talented Nawazuddin Siddiqui as a journalist. A few days ahead of its release, the movie ran into legal troubles as a social activist had filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Allahabad High Court to seek a ban on the film, accusing the makers of hurting the religious sentiments of a certain community and objecting to the usage of the word ‘Bhaijaan’ in the title.
