Sudama was ashamed of being unable to provide his friend with anything, despite the kindness with which he was treated, but he offered some Poha (rice dish) to his friend. Krishna was unconcerned about changing his mind about friendship and instead savored the Poha that his beloved friend had given him.
Sudama was so taken aback by Krishna's treatment that he couldn't ask for anything else. As a result, he came home empty-handed. Sudama returned to find his cottage had been renovated into a royal residence. Sudama received much more than financial assistance due to Lord Krishna's blessing.
