Auspicious Time for Education in 2021

Two types of people live on the earth; one is a human being, and the other is an animal, but the difference between a human being and a living being is only intelligence and conscience. Where human beings learn education and know the difference between right and wrong, animals lack this feature. In this way, education creates the difference between humans and animals. There are 16 sacraments in Indian culture, and each rite has its own distinct significance. Similarly, Vidyambhar rites are also included in the same rites. If we break down the word 'Vidya-Arambh,' it means the day to start the education. Before starting education, people often seek or ask for an auspicious time from an astrologer and send the child to school on the same day. Usually, this rite is performed at the age of 5 years.

Importance of Vidyabharam (the auspicious time for education)

It is believed that by performing Vidyabharam Rites, the child always leads and achieves success in studies. Also, by having this rite done, the child gets consciousness and awareness towards studies. To get this sacrament done, one has to see auspicious dates, days of the week, constellations, and muhurtas. In this ritual, items like pencil, rubber, slate, bandage, etc., are worshiped. Lord Ganpati and Goddess of Knowledge Saraswati is remembered and prayed to awaken the light of knowledge in the child's mind and make his life happy. In the education rites, the astrologer tells the child about the alphabetic experience, knowledge of subjects, and sources of life and explains the importance of learning to become self-reliant.
