Oh My God, it`s 11/12/13!

Sequential dates have always fascinated people. Last year, the world went crazy for 12th December 2012, i.e. 12/12/12, before that it was 11/11/11, and this year too, the fascination with sequential dates continues. As the world rushes to get married on the auspicious day of 11/12/13, the last date in the century when consecutive numbers would be appearing in a date, let's find out if it is really worth the hype.

This is what Astroyogi astrologers have to say about the iconic date. Number 11 is considered very special in Numerology. While all two digit numbers are generally reduced to a one digit number by adding the digits, 11 and 22 are barred from this general rule. This special status has been attached to these numbers for a reason. Unlike other numbers, the number 11 has two same digits, because of which it is associated with deep spiritual meanings. Number 12 is also a very spiritual number. It is associated with the qualities of wisdom and knowledge. In the Bible, the number 12 is mentioned several times-the 12 tribes of Israel and the 12 apostles. The city of heaven also has 12 gates, the walls of which are adorned with 12 precious stones and 12 is also the number of fruits that the tree of life yields. Number 13 is not considered an unlucky number by many. But, this does not diminish the significance of this special date. December 11, 2013 is Margasira Shukla Navami, a highly auspicious day for new ventures and marriages according to the Panchangam. Moreover, 2013, adds up to 6, which is considered one of the most auspicious single digit numbers.

11/12/13 is not the only fascinating date to enthrall the world in recent times and nor is it going to be the only special date in the future. Read on to know the peculiar dates of recent times and the future.

The allure of sequential dates

The last two dates having numbers with consecutive numbers in a row were 9/10/11 and 10/11/12. Dates with repeating numbers have also caught the fancy of the masses. Around 7,500 people got married on 12/12/12 last year in the US and on 7/7/07, around 65,000 marriages were solemnized.  The next sequential date will be 1/2/3, i.e. February 1, 2103.

The not so odd deal about the odd date

Mathematicians around the world celebrated odd day on 9th November 2013, 9/11/13, as all the numbers in the date were odd. The celebrations were justified, since an odd date occurs only 6 times in a century. There is not going to be another odd date for the next 92 years.

Palindrome day

A palindrome is a word or phrase which means the same when read in the forward or backward direction. February 2, 2020 will be a palindrome date, as 02/02/2020 is the same as 2020/02/02.

Square root day

When the square of the first two numbers is the year, the date is known as square root day. The next square root day will be on 4th April, 2016 and then on 5th May 2025. The last time square root day was celebrated was on 3rd March 2009.
