The Shravan Purnima, or full moon, falls on 11th August. The Purnima Tithi will start at 10:38 AM on 11th August 2022 and end at 07:05 AM on 12th August 2022. However, the Bhadra Kaal is also going to occur with the full moon and will happen during the first half of Purnima, and this is not the right time to tie a Rakhi. The Bhadra Kaal will end at 08:51 PM on 11th August. This is why the auspicious time for Raksha Bandhan will start on the evening of 11th August and go on till 12th August.
As the Purnima Tithi of Shravan will begin at 10:38 AM on 11th August, Udaya Tithi is not on 11th August but on 12th August. Moreover, there is no Bhadra Kaal on 12th August. Therefore, some people are talking about celebrating Raksha Bandhan on this day. Due to the presence of Bhadra, the auspicious time is very less this Raksha Bandhan.
