Today, history is being written in Lord Ram's Janmabhoomi, i.e., Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, with the opening of the Ram Mandir. Finally, the time has come when Ram Lalla's idol will be consecrated in Ayodhya. After years of waiting, Lord Rama will finally reside in his spectacular and grand temple today. The much-awaited Ram Mandir inauguration ceremony, or the Ram Pran Pratishtha, will be held today, i.e., 22nd January 2024 (Monday). In Hinduism, the 'Pran Pratishtha' is a ritual where life energy is invoked into an idol, which then transforms the idol into a deity that can grant blessings and receive prayers from the devotees. During this important ritual, priests perform religious rituals by chanting Vedic mantras and hymns. The final stage of 'Pran Pratishtha' consists of opening the idol's eyes.
The honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lead the sacred rituals and the ceremony in the graceful presence of other saints, priests, and seers guiding the ceremony. This ceremony will be conducted under the guidance of 121 Acharyas. Pandit Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid of Varanasi will monitor, coordinate, and guide all the rituals, and Lakshmikant Dixit will be the chief Acharya of the ceremony. Apart from this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh's Governor Anandiben Patel, Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and other dignitaries will be present on the occasion of Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha. The spectacular Ram Mandir will be open to the public a day later.
10.25 AM - PM Narendra Modi will reach Ayodhya airport. From the airport, he will take a chopper to the venue.
From 11 AM to 12 PM- PM Modi will take a tour of the premises. He may participate in various rituals in the temple premises.
From 12:05 PM to 12:55 PM- The main Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha (consecration ceremony) will begin with PM Modi presiding over all the rituals. The consecration of Lord Rama's idol will take place at an auspicious time. A propitious time of 84 seconds has been chosen for the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla in the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Pandit Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid chose the Muhurta, considering it the most accurate and favorable. PM Modi will perform the ritual of unveiling the idol's eyes and then anoint the eyes with Kajal. There will also be a Maha Aarti organized and the lighting of 108 Diyas, after which the consecration ritual will come to an end.
01:00 PM - PM Modi will depart the venue and address a public meeting.
02:10 PM- PM Modi will visit Kuber Ka Tila, where the ancient temple of Lord Shiva has been restored.
The consecration of the idol of Lord Rama is scheduled to occur on 22nd January 2024 during the highly auspicious time from 12:29:08 to 12:30:32.
