Scorpios are born between 23rd October and 21st November and belong to the zodiac Water element. It's funny because many people assume Scorpios is one of the signs of Fire (just as people still think Aquarius is a sign of Water-- WRONG), despite their apparent enthusiasm and power. At first glance, Scorpios look like a Fire sign but, below, it's all a lot more emotional and layered. Scorpios have 'levels,' they are the enigma of the Zodiac.
Emotional, imaginative and intense, Scorpio is similar to the Water sign crew's big, bad elder sister. You don't want to mess with a turbulent, deadly scorpion my friend, their sting may be fatal-and they make the other zodiac signs (apart from perhaps Aries, with whom they share a planetary influence) look like cry-babies!
They are governed by two celestial forces—Pluto (the god of the Underworld) and Mars (the god of war) and that sort of sums up them. Dark and pitchy. Attracted to what lies below, to the mysteries of creation, to humanity's 'underbelly,' and yet capable of battling to death if they feel wronged or abused.
The emblem of the Scorpio is the Scorpio and that is no mistake. Much like the Scorpion would rather destroy itself than be killed, the ones born under this sign are eventually in charge of their destiny. It's also life on the terms of the Scorpion because these people push their agenda (they're pretty much the executives) and make sure things move ahead. Others can find this overbearing and even self-destructive, but that's the Scorpio sign's beauty: they have immense regenerative abilities, even as the real Scorpio will lose its tail and grow a new one promptly.
Focused
Scorpios are focused and competitive. They just go for it when they want it. They also allow very few obstacles to get in their way and accomplish them at any cost when they set their eyes on something.
Ambitious
The Scorpios have huge aspirations and their temperament has a clear competitive attribute that drives them to aspire for grandeur. They are capable of accomplishing everything they put their minds to, and they will not give up. They are fiercely independent.
Loyal
One of Scorpio's great things is their loyalty to their significant others. Scorpios appreciate trust and integrity that makes them a fiercely loyal symbol, and they expect their partners to do the same. The person who loves and keeps a Scorpio close is treated with tremendous loyalty, compassion and kindness.
Jealous
How jealous Scorpio people can be is no joke. Jealousy is, in the first place, for Scorpios, along with vengeance. If you do anything wrong with a Scorpio, then they'll pay you back absolutely.
Possessive
Scorpios get easily irritated in relationships if the partner pays a little too much attention to someone they consider to be a threat. In the case of their loved ones and close ones, they become a little more possessive.
Secretive
Scorpio is the zodiac's enigmatic and secretive sign. Scorpios hardly ever disclose to people anything about themselves to protect their feelings and because of their secretive nature.
Resentful
When you do anything to a Scorpio that they perceive as a deception. There's a pretty good chance your actions will cause them a bit of big-time resentment. They will allow it to hurt them, then come back from the experience stronger and smarter.
Dominating
The most powerful control freaks tend to be the Scorpios. Scorpios are often averse to being dominated by others. They just want to win and not rule. They are not permitted to change their behaviour.
